The Veil Nebula

The Veil Nebula is part of the nearby Cygnus Loop, which is a remnant of a star that went supernova about 10,000 years ago, that star was 20 times the mass of our sun. The explosive release of energy following the star's death resulted in the Veil Nebula's delicate filaments of ionized gas. This image was taken using Hydrogen Alpha and Sulfur filters to expose the cmos camera for long period of time in light polluted suburban skies.
