Lunar Eclipse 2022

The weather for last nights lunar eclipse was better than expected here in south Florida. I managed to get several shots of this spectacular and semi rare event.

I had plenty of passing clouds and even times of totally clear skies, so it was a mixed bag of exposure times and camera ISO settings. I used my Nikon D800 full frame camera and 70-200 zoom lens. I was at 200mm the whole time and images below are cropped about 30%

Images were taken from my front yard in Davie Florida from 10:00pm to about 1:00am. After 1:00am it got total cloudy and I only got one or 2 shots of the earths shadow departing the face of the moon. You can see the clouds moving in on the last image in the gallery.

Here are my favorite images from the evening in sequential order.
